My Story

Powered by coffee, kids and creativity

Hi, I’m Danielle.

I work with nonprofits to effectively (and creatively) market their organization on a shoestring budget. And by shoestring, that could mean no budget (as in zero dollars).  I love helping organizations solve their marketing woes, once and for all. Lack of time, knowledge and resources is no match against the right tools, some outside of the box thinking and a work smarter, not harder mentality.

Here are a few things about me:

  • I’m the proud President and CEO of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce located in Lowell, Massachusetts for the past 10 years (and counting)! The Chamber represents 600 businesses and nonprofits so I get to talk marketing on a daily basis – which I love!
  • I’ve been published on sites including Social Media Examiner and Thrive Global.
  • I have a unique blend of experience in promotional product sales, radio advertising, event planning and marketing consulting (specializing in social media). I’ve worked with restaurants, nonprofits, financial institutions, retailers, real estate agents and coaches – to name a few.
  • I helped Middlesex Community College develop their Social Media Certificate Program back in 2011 (and taught there from 2010-2013).
  • I’ve taught hundreds of nonprofits and businesses how to effectively use social media to market their organizations and reach their desired audience through classes, seminars, presentations and working one-on-one with them.
  • I’ve received awards including Lowell TeleMedia’s (LTC) Lifetime Achievement Award, Merrimack Valley Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40, Community Teamwork’s Community Action Award for Social Media, Lowell Catholic’s St. Margaret Distinguished Graduate Award and University of Massachusetts Lowell’s Distinguished Recent Alumna Award.

And when I’m not thinking, breathing and preaching marketing (or at work at the Greater Lowell Chamber), I can be found…

  • Hanging out with my husband, Adam, and our three kids (Zoe – 8, Landry – 5 and Milo – 4) at our home in Lowell, MA or at my parents in York, ME.
  • Getting rid of clutter, clothes, toys – you name it – in my home. I recently discovered The Minimalists and it’s a game changer!
  • Drinking coffee… lots and lots of coffee.

If you’re dying to know more, here are 4 things you don’t know about me…

  • I can’t do a cartwheel (or dive).
  • I’m left handed, along with my parents and brothers (and they say it isn’t genetic!).
  • I host a weekly radio show and monthly television show.
  • I love buying coffee mugs, water bottles and notebooks with inspirational sayings on them. This habit had to be adjusted with my new found minimalist aspirations.

Work with me, right this second, by subscribing to my email list (no spam – I pinky promise!) or checking out my consulting packages.
